Is there a connection between Fable (1996) and Fables 1, 2, and 3 today?

Just a question out of curiosity. I believe that Peter Molyneux has something to do with it. Do they all take place in Albion? I actually listened to some dialogue from the 1996 edition, and it sounds as if John Cleese (Lucien in Fable II, and Jasper in Fable III) speaks in it.
